Welcome to our new and improved website!

Last year we organized several fantastic events — alternatives to the U-curve with Kate Berardo, intercultural competence with Darla Deardorff, India and Turkey with special guests, VisualsSpeak with Cate Brubaker, education in Germany with Diana Levy, and of course Michael Paige’s public lecture!

Now we’re busy planning events for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009. We typically meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:00pm in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, but if there’s enough interest we might try out a Saturday event or two.

Here are some topics/events we’re thinking about:

All about the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and certification training

Turkish cooking (or other cultural topic)

The inside scoop on the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication

Intercultural training activities, tips, and strategies

SIETAR-NC resource library open house

We’d like your input so please leave a comment! Please introduce yourself and tell us…

Which topics interest you the most?
What are your event suggestions?
Would you like to be, or recommend, a presenter?

We look forward to hearing from you!
